What Past-Life Regression Actually Is (and Isn’t)

A clear, honest look at one of the most misunderstood modalities.

Few practices are as easily caricatured as past-life regression. It deserves a clearer and more honest account – both of what it is, and of what it is not.

What it is

Past-life regression is a hypnosis-based process for reaching the origin of a present-day pattern that appears to have no root in this lifetime – an irrational fear, a recurring dynamic, a symptom with no medical explanation. In a relaxed, focused state, the mind produces a coherent narrative that carries the emotional charge, and that narrative can then be worked with and resolved.

What it isn’t

It is not fortune-telling. It is not a party trick, and it is not offered as proof of reincarnation. Whether the material is a literal memory or a symbolic production of the psyche is a question we hold openly rather than answer for you.

You do not have to believe in past lives for past-life regression to resolve something real.

Why it works either way

The therapeutic power does not depend on the metaphysics. The psyche uses the story – whatever its ultimate source – to externalise, understand and release a charge it has been carrying. Held with care and within scope, it can move patterns that years of surface work could not. This is exactly the kind of honesty our modalities are held with.
